Y los millones de mujeres que en todo el mundo se unen a la huelga del D\u00eda Internacional de la Mujer est\u00e1n de acuerdo. Mientras que muchas saldr\u00e1n a la calle a participar en marchas y manifestaciones, otras muchas permanecer\u00e1n en sus hogares, mostrando de otras formas su solidaridad con todas nuestras hermanas que est\u00e1n tomando decisiones audaces en la batalla para que se respeten sus derechos b\u00e1sicos. En enero de 2018, Seo, una fiscal, acus\u00f3 a un superior de manosearla en una cena. Cuando denunci\u00f3, \u00e9l se veng\u00f3 haciendo que la trasladaran a una localidad alejada. En enero de 2019, el funcionario fue condenado a dos a\u00f1os de prisi\u00f3n por abuso de poder. Su lucha atrevida para conseguir la libertad de las mujeres en Arabia Saud\u00ed ha ocupado los titulares de todo el mundo. Hizo un directo en Twitter mientras entraba en su pa\u00eds desde Emiratos \u00c1rabes Unidos conduciendo un autom\u00f3vil, y fue detenida durante 73 d\u00edas. Loujain, pionera del movimiento en favor del derecho a conducir, y sus compa\u00f1eras activistas lograron una victoria para los derechos de las mujeres cuando\u00a0<a style=\"-webkit-print-color-adjust: exact; color: #336699; border-bottom: 1px solid #ccddee; transition-duration: 0.15s; transition-timing-function: ease-out; transition-property: border-color;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amnesty.org\/es\/latest\/news\/2018\/06\/saudi-arabia-women-now-allowed-to-drive-but-more-reforms-must-follow\/\">se levant\u00f3 la prohibici\u00f3n de conducir<\/a>, en junio de 2018. Pero tanto ella como otras activistas en favor de los derechos de las mujeres siguen en la c\u00e1rcel desde mayo de 2018. Recluidas sin cargos, se las acusa de ser \u201cagentes de las embajadas\u201d, y han sido torturadas y acosadas sexualmente en prisi\u00f3n. M\u00e9xico tiene uno de los \u00edndices de asesinato de mujeres m\u00e1s altos del mundo. S\u00f3lo en 2017 fueron asesinadas en el pa\u00eds 3.357 mujeres. Estos asesinatos se cometen en un marco de arraigadas desigualdades entre los g\u00e9neros y brutal desvalorizaci\u00f3n de las vidas de las mujeres. Esperanza ha sufrido amenazas y acoso por su tenaz determinaci\u00f3n de que el asesino de su hija sea llevado ante la justicia. Joey pertenece a la comunidad leiti, lo que en t\u00e9rminos occidentales es una comunidad de personas LGBTI+, con hondas ra\u00edces en el pasado cultural de Tonga. La Tonga precolonial ten\u00eda una idea muy fluida del g\u00e9nero, que permit\u00eda el desarrollo de las personas leitis, entre las que hay personas trans. Pero con la llegada del colonialismo y el cristianismo, la actitud hacia los leitis se ha ido ti\u00f1endo de prejuicios. \u201cCuando ten\u00eda 14 a\u00f1os, el jefe de seguridad de mi padre me viol\u00f3\u201d, afirma Joey. \u201cMi padre dijo: \u2018Se lo estaba buscando.\u2019 Me hab\u00eda dicho muchas veces que dejara de actuar como una mujer. Y yo creo que en ese momento fue cuando decid\u00ed que no iba a tolerar nada m\u00e1s. Decid\u00ed dejar de ir a la escuela porque no pod\u00eda soportar el acoso, el maltrato f\u00edsico.
